Befriending Scheme

Talking Tea

If you are over 60 years of age, fancy a cuppa and a chat, then come along to the Community Centre on Cort Crescent. Bingo and a quiz are optional activities and we welcome any other suggestions. The cost is just 50p.

Why not be a friend?

Befriending is a scheme for over 60s who find it more difficult to get out and about. volunteers go through security checks,DBS and attend training before they become a Befriender. Befriendees are matched with a Befriender and, if both parties are happy, weekly visits can start. If you would like visits from a Befriender or are interested in volunteering to be one then please contact Lucie on 0116 223 2256.
